Some people don’t even realize this. Marketing is literally around us at all times.
E-Marketing has changed the way Products are seen today.
Products today are not just placed on physical shelfs today. People in general don’t go to physical retail stores as often as they used to. Times had to change and the population changed along with it. We moved from physically going out and purchasing what we “needed” from a physical store to sitting at home and ordering these things… we also needed… from an online E-Store. Our lives are mainly spent interfacing electronically.
Product placement is even a part of our social media platforms. We see it marketed on youtube, facebook, Tiktok. It is also a part of commercials, we got away from those for a while, but they are sneaking their way back into the various avenues in which we choose to get our entertainment, be it Netflix, Prime, Disney to name a few.
Now in the movie E.T., I can remember seeing that lovable little alien enjoying one of my personal favorite candy choices, Reese’s Pieces.
And this came out in 1982! This movie is a loved by all. It shows how siblings’ band together to protect each other. The scene where Elliot lures his newfound friend out of his hiding spot with Reese’s Pieces is unforgettable. The M&M Mars Company did not want to be a part of this feature. Reese’s was a logical choice. Same size, same look as M&Ms… which are the candy that my children prefer. This scene did wonders for Reese’s Pieces. M&Ms really did lose out on this Marketing strategy.
If you fast forward to today, 2026, The Product Placement of literally everything, Watches, Automobiles, Shoes, Clothing, Wine, Food, Cocktails, and Spirits, Beverages, Restaurants has changed so much! It has become a massive form of E-Marketing that is extremely effective.
Product Placement & E- Marketing are options that can offer a Comfortable Living.
Now Advertising “Pays” to be there, wherever it is placed. And without Advertising these businesses, products and services, would stay on the “shelves”. No one would buy them. If no one knows that a product is in existence, why would they purchase it? The “Law of Marketing” is Nothing sells itself.
